According to Iran's Labor News Agency (ILNA), Qassem Rouanbakhsh, deputy chairman of the Internal Affairs and Affairs Committee of the Iranian Islamic Parliament, commented on the recent political upheavals in the United States during a virtual parliamentary session on Wednesday. He stated bluntly that the results of the US midterm elections were not a victory for the Democrats, but rather "a victory for the Iranian people." He said that the Democrats who won votes in the Senate and Congress today must understand that if they do not change their behavior and follow the same path as Republicans and Trump after taking power, they will face a similar fate. Regarding the political developments in Israel and the United States, he added: "Just as Netanyahu suffered a defeat in Israel, so too has the United States. European countries and NATO must also recognize reality and bow down to the great nation of Iran."
