According to Iran's Tasnim News Agency, Tehran Mayor Abu Zarqaani stated regarding the recent situation in the United States and Iran-US relations that the complete defeat of the US and Israeli regimes in the recent situation and elections is a product of the resilience and dignity of the Iranian people. He further stated that even political opponents within the United States acknowledge that this setback stemmed from the wisdom and perseverance of the Iranian people. When discussing policy towards the United States, Zarqaani issued a stern warning. He stated that any attempt to regain trust in the United States or to collude with the US's so-called "deceptive plans" is tantamount to "giving artificial respiration to a defeated enemy," which is not only meaningless but also provides fertile ground for future aggression. He clearly stated that the Iranian people will never tolerate any "strategic miscalculation" or "passive resistance" in the face of hegemonic deception.
