China State Railway Group said the national train-numbering reform is proceeding and the first batch of changes will take effect: conventional passenger trains will use new numbers from 00:00 on Nov 25 and freight trains from 18:00 on Nov 24. Tickets will be progressively put on sale and honored under the new numbers.
