At midday closing, most domestic futures contracts rose, with palladium up over 8%, platinum up over 7%, silver up nearly 6%, nickel up over 5%, gold up over 4%, red dates up nearly 4%, and coking coal and lithium carbonate up over 3%. On the downside, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), bottled petroleum products, propylene, benzene, polyethylene, polypropylene, ethylene glycol, and styrene hit their daily limit down; fuel oil and low-sulfur fuel oil (LU) fell over 10%, asphalt fell nearly 9%, SC crude oil and methanol fell over 7%, and paraxylene fell over 6%.
