Wang Hongzhi, head of China’s National Energy Administration, met Angola’s minister of Energy and Water João Borges in Beijing on Nov. 3 to discuss cooperation in renewables and power. Wang said China-Angola energy ties have a solid foundation and broad prospects, noting Beijing values Angola’s development needs and investment expectations in hydropower, solar PV and electrification; China is willing to strengthen policy alignment, technology exchange and experience-sharing and to encourage firms from both sides to pursue practical projects in key energy areas.
