China's Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and the China Meteorological
Administration on Nov 5 issued a farmland waterlogging risk alert for Nov 6-7,
forecasting moderate to heavy rain with locally heavy to torrential downpours
across southern Anhui, southern Hubei, central-northern Hunan, central-northern
Jiangxi and eastern Guizhou. Rainfall overlaps prior precipitation, raising
elevated waterlogging risk for farmland—particularly southeastern Hubei and
northwestern Jiangxi—and posing risks to autumn sowing and normal crop growth.
