After Democratic gains in the U.S. midterms and with some lawmakers signaling plans to pursue impeachment, U.S. defense secretary Hegseth posted a social-media video saying he will fight back resolutely. He accused Republican Rep. Thomas Massey and his Democratic allies of filing baseless, politically motivated impeachment articles. Massey first filed impeachment articles in September and said he will reintroduce them unless Hegseth resigns.
