China's second domestically built large cruise ship, Aida Huacheng, was
delivered in Shanghai on the 6th, marking a move from a single-ship breakthrough
to serial construction of large cruise vessels. The 341‑metre ship has 2,130
cabins and capacity for more than 5,200 passengers; large cruise ships, aircraft
carriers and LNG carriers are cited as key benchmarks of national shipbuilding
capability.
