China's National Development and Reform Commission said energy supply can meet
demand for this winter heating season. Coal output was 385 mln tons in
September and rose month-on-month in October; thermal coal inventories remain
high. More than 200 bln cubic meters of natural gas have been secured for the
heating season and underground gas storage has been filled to required levels,
leaving overall supplies able to cover demand.
