Qatar’s emir received a call from U.S. President Trump, the emir’s office said
on Nov. 6. They reviewed bilateral strategic ties and discussed ways to deepen
cooperation, focusing on regional developments and diplomatic efforts to ease
tensions. They exchanged views on international mediation and on Qatar’s role in
bridging parties and supporting negotiations toward a comprehensive agreement to
resolve the current crisis and preserve regional security and stability. The
emir stressed continuing dialogue and diplomacy to avoid escalation and ensuring
freedom of navigation and energy supply security.
