Sichuan Provincial Development and Reform Commission issued measures to boost private investment in strategic sectors. The province will allocate provincial-budget funds equal to 30% of the approved investment when private-capital-backed firms undertake construction of major provincial science and technology infrastructure. The plan backs private participation in high-end industries and new application scenarios including AI, pharmaceuticals/health, robotics and smart manufacturing, aerospace, integration of computing and power, the low-altitude economy and new consumption formats, and calls for stronger investment-growth and risk-sharing mechanisms. Private commercial space firms will receive support on launch approvals, commercial-space frequency licensing and satellite IoT commercial trials and pilot operations. The measures also support private development of drone takeoff/landing facilities at hospitals, scenic sites, shopping districts and communities and the provision of logistics, urban inspection, agri/forestry work, emergency rescue, medical aid and tourism services.
