Beijing, Nov 6 — China and Gabon elevated bilateral ties to a 'community of
shared future' during talks in Beijing, China said. China signaled it will
deepen multi-level engagement, share party and state governance experience and
support efforts to strengthen Gabon's governing capacity. The two sides agreed
to align development strategies and expand trade and investment, aiming to
leverage zero-tariff treatment and an African agri-food 'green channel' into
China. Officials said the push is intended to spur Gabonese industrial
development, job creation, livelihood improvement and greater economic autonomy.
China also pledged support for Gabon taking a larger role in regional and
international affairs.
