Saudi-led coalition said Friday it intercepted and destroyed a drone in the Mecca region, spokesman Turki al-Malki said, offering no further details. Since a July ceasefire breakdown, Saudi forces and the Houthi movement have traded strikes; Houthi attacks have hit Saudi airports, energy infrastructure and military sites, with strikes in October killing at least 20. The coalition also said it intercepted a missile fired toward the Medina area on Thursday; the Houthi movement denied targeting Mecca or Medina and called the Medina claim a "brazen and serious lie."
