A spokesperson for the Iranian Revolutionary Guard stated that Iran successfully shot down more than 260 enemy aircraft, including F-35 fighter jets, during the 2026 war. He claimed this achievement even surpasses previously released figures from the Iranian military. The targets shot down included next-generation fighter jets such as the F-35, F-16, F-8, and F-5, as well as various drones, advanced aircraft, and enemy micro-drones. The spokesperson added that in the past week or two, the Iranian military successfully controlled seven enemy MQM-170 reconnaissance drones and brought them to a safe landing. He stated that this achievement demonstrates Iran's ability to counter advanced enemy equipment using technological means.
