U.S. Department of Energy: Announced the first steps of the largest deregulatory action in DOE history, proposing to eliminate or reduce 47 regulations that drive up costs and reduce the quality of life for the American people. Once finalized, these actions will save the American people approximately $11 billion. The 47 actions include proposals to eliminate or modify dozens of consumer appliance standards, regulations restricting buildings and energy production, and unscientific DEI requirements for grant recipients.
