The yield on Japan's 40-year government bonds rose 6 basis points to 3.675%, reaching its highest level since it began issuing in 2007. Earlier, Bank of Japan board member Asahi Noguchi said it was not appropriate to intervene rashly to correct the trend of bond yields.
