[Hillhouse Capital participates in the bidding for Starbucks China business] According to foreign media reports, people familiar with the matter revealed that Hillhouse Capital recently participated in the reverse management roadshow of Starbucks China and expressed interest in acquiring Starbucks China business. The roadshow also attracted the participation of several investment institutions such as Carlyle Investment and Xinchen Capital. The transaction structure has not yet been finalized. Starbucks China business is valued at approximately US$5 billion to US$6 billion, and Goldman Sachs serves as the exclusive financial advisor. The transaction is expected to last until 2026.
