The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has approved the participation of athletes from Russia and Belarus in the Milan Winter Olympics as neutral individuals. The International Olympic Committee (IOC) Executive Board decided on the 19th local time in Milan to allow athletes from Russia and Belarus to compete as neutral individuals at the 2026 Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics, under the same conditions as the 2024 Paris Olympics. The IOC's official website noted that 32 athletes from Russia and Belarus competed in 10 events at the Paris Olympics. The Milan Winter Olympics, scheduled to open on February 6 of next year, will follow the same rules as the Paris Olympics.
