Energy: 1. Kuwait's Oil Minister: Kuwait will increase oil production to 2.559 million barrels per day in October. Production capacity is 3.2 million barrels per day. 2. Joint Oil Database (JODI): Saudi Arabia's crude oil production fell by 551,000 barrels per day in July, to 9.201 million barrels per day. 3. India's coal production in August increased by 11.4% year-on-year; natural gas production decreased by 2.2% year-on-year; and crude oil production decreased by 1.2% year-on-year. 4. Sources say the Saudi-Pakistan defense agreement is unlikely to affect Saudi oil supplies to India. 5. Dubai set its official crude oil price for December at a discount of 5 cents per barrel to Omani crude. 6. Norwegian Petroleum Agency: Norway's preliminary natural gas production in August was 10.3 billion cubic meters, and its oil production was 1.924 million barrels per day. Precious Metals and Mining: 1. Indonesian Ministry of Mining officials: As of August, coal production reached 509 million tons, achieving 68.8% of the fiscal year's target. 2. International Aluminum Institute (IAI): Global primary aluminum production in August was 6.277 million tons. 3. Spot gold briefly approached $3,760 during intraday trading, setting a new record high. 4. The Bank of Thailand: Supports gold trading in US dollars.
