Poll: Over Half of Americans Believe Trump Uses Law Enforcement Against Political Opponents: According to a new Reuters/Ipsos poll, over half of Americans (including about 30% of Republicans) believe that US President Trump is using federal law enforcement to target his political opponents. The survey also found that nine months into Trump's second term, Americans' concerns about political division are growing. In the six-day survey, which concluded on Monday, about 55% of respondents agreed that the Republican president is using law enforcement to target his political opponents, while 26% disagreed. The rest were unsure or did not respond. About 85% of self-identified Democrats agreed with this statement, compared to 29% of Republicans.
