On the 3rd (local time) Iran's foreign minister said any hostile action would
receive an immediate, decisive response. He said Iranian armed forces conduct
defensive strikes within the framework of lawful self‑defense to counter US use
of bases to attack Iranian civilian vessels and violations of a ceasefire. He
added that objectives the US has failed to achieve by sanctions and war will not
be achieved through further war.
