Since October 2025, China’s telecom fraud cases have fallen year‑on‑year for eight consecutive months, the Ministry of Public Security said. Order‑rebate schemes are the most frequent, making up 25% of cases. Fake online investment scams account for roughly 40% of total reported losses; cases with losses in the millions to tens of millions of yuan are predominantly this type.
