Beijing, June 16 — Wang Huning, member of the CCP Politburo Standing Committee
and chairman of the CPPCC, met Nepal’s foreign minister in Beijing. Wang cited
Xi’s 2019 state visit that upgraded China–Nepal ties to a strategic cooperative
partnership focused on development, and said China will work with Nepal under
bilateral leadership to maintain high-level exchanges, deepen political trust
and pragmatic cooperation to advance ties and benefit both countries’ peoples;
the CPPCC said it stands ready to support this. The Nepalese minister reaffirmed
Nepal’s adherence to the One China principle, pledged not to allow Nepali
territory to be used for anti‑China activities, and expressed interest in
expanding cooperation. Wang Dongfeng attended the meeting.
