According to NewsNation, conservative Republican lawmakers have begun publicly
blaming Vice President Vance, calling a recently reached agreement with Iran
'bad' and saying it erases President Trump's military gains. One lawmaker said
conservatives in Congress were 'shocked' Vance struck such a deal, accusing him
of losing at the 11th-hour by negotiating away those gains. On a visit to
France, Trump praised the Iran agreement, signed a copy of a memorandum of
understanding in Versailles, and quipped he would take credit if it succeeds and
blame Vance if it fails. A White House source pushed back, calling the
criticisms an attempt to strip the president of authority and to obstruct the
peace deal.
