Iran’s foreign ministry said Tehran’s immediate priority is ensuring implementation of the memorandum of understanding. The U.S. has issued the licenses required under clause 10 to permit Iranian oil exports and Iran is tracking implementation; procedures to unfreeze assets under clause 11 are also underway. A technical Iranian delegation will travel to Qatar this week to consult on MoU execution, including clause 11. Iran has not started final-agreement negotiations — clause 13 conditions final talks on the start and sustained implementation of clauses 1, 4, 5, 10 and 11. Iran said it will not hold talks with the U.S. in the coming days and that a U.S. representative’s trip to Qatar is unrelated to the Iranian delegation’s follow-up work.

XPeng robotics head Mi Liangchuan has recently left the company. CEO He Xiaopeng is personally assuming leadership of the XPeng Robotics Center and its product division. Mi spent about 15 years at NVIDIA with extensive autonomous-driving experience; he joined XPeng in 2021 as senior director of autonomous driving, was promoted to head of enterprise processes in April 2023 and to head of robotics in September 2023. External observers had identified Mi, Chen Jie, Ge Yixiao and Liu Xianming as the four core leaders of XPeng’s robotics team.
