Iran's Foreign Ministry summoned the British ambassador in Tehran to protest
what it called repeated, baseless UK accusations that Iran tried to carry out
security-threatening operations in the UK. Assistant Foreign Minister and
director-general for Western Europe Alireza handed the ambassador a written
protest, rejecting the claims as a British tactic to divert attention, evade
responsibility and conceal the UK’s destructive actions and breaches of
international law.
