Iran's Foreign Ministry summoned the British ambassador in Tehran to protest what it called repeated, baseless UK accusations that Iran tried to carry out security-threatening operations in the UK. China’s National Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters raised flood and typhoon emergency response from level-4 to level-3 at 17:00 on July 9 for Zhejiang and Fujian as Typhoon Bavi approaches. At 14:00 on July 9 the meteorological agency placed Bavi’s center about 1,030 km east-southeast of Keelung, Taiwan in the northwest Pacific, with maximum winds near the center of 52 m/s and a 7-level wind radius of 500 km.
