Lebanon’s National News Agency reported two Israeli shells struck Kfar Taabunit in Nabatieh district, saying the fire originated from Israeli army positions in the occupied border area. It added Israeli artillery also shelled Zawtar Sharqiya near Mayfadun.

The Ministry of Water Resources and the China Meteorological Administration issued a red mountain flash-flood meteorological warning at 18:00 on July 12. Forecast for 20:00 July 12–20:00 July 13: parts of northeastern Liaoning, southwestern Jilin, southern Anhui and northeastern Jiangxi face a high likelihood of mountain flash floods (orange warning); northeastern Liaoning, southwestern Jilin and southern Anhui carry a very high likelihood (red warning). County-level areas are listed in the bulletin. Other areas may see localized, short-duration intense rainfall that could trigger flash floods. Authorities urged real-time monitoring, flood-control warnings and relocation/evacuation measures.

CICC said in a research note that outstanding short positions in Hong Kong as a share of market value have fallen from a mid‑June peak to 2.43% but remain roughly more than three standard deviations above the historical mean.
