The Ministry of Water Resources said heavy rains between yesterday and today
pushed 46 rivers across China above flood-warning levels. Notable rivers include
Zhejiang's Jiaojiang and its tributary Yonganxi, the Qiantang tributary Wuyi
River, upstream Futunxi in Fujian, Anhui's Shuiyang River, Jiangxi's Xin River
tributaries Baita River and Luxi River, and Heilongjiang's Mayi River.
Zhejiang's Jiaojiang, Anhui's Shuiyang and Heilongjiang's Mayi registered
officially numbered floods; Taizhou (Zhejiang) Yonganxi recorded a small
exceedance of the guaranteed flood level.
