Financial Times reports serious divisions within the Bank of England's MPC, making it harder for the central bank to rebuild credibility after five years of inflation above target.

Tropical Storm Bavi, the year’s ninth system, was centered at 08:00 on July 13 over Sixian County, Suzhou, Anhui (33.4°N, 117.9°E) with maximum outer winds of force 8 (20 m/s) and central pressure 992 hPa. Bavi is moving northeast at 10–15 km/h, expected to weaken slowly, cross the Shandong Peninsula into the northern Yellow Sea during daytime July 14, and gradually become extratropical after July 15.

A-share film and cinema sector weakened in choppy trading as Ruyi Film hit the daily limit-down. China Film, Happiness Blue Sea, Enlight Media, Bona Film, Beijing Culture and Baina Qiancheng also fell.
