Fed's Beige: Overall prices rose modestly; nine Fed districts reported moderate price increases, two reported strong increases and one reported a slight increase. Price growth in all districts was the same or slower versus the prior reporting period.

President Trump said data centers are among the biggest future job drivers and called them money machines. He criticized New York Governor Kathy Hochul for halting construction and planned data-center projects in the state for political reasons, saying companies are now seeking sites in Alabama, Florida, Texas, Arizona and other states. Trump warned tax revenue and jobs will flow to lower-tax states, including Republican-led and some Democratic-led states, and urged New York to change its policy immediately.
