China Mobile, China Eastern Airlines, Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC) and ZTE signed a four-party 5G air-to-ground (5G-ATG) cooperation agreement in Shanghai. The partners will integrate passenger air travel with 5G-ATG communications, edge/AI computing and large-model AI technologies and accelerate upgrading aviation internet from basic onboard connectivity toward higher speeds, broader service coverage, smarter operations and greater industry autonomy.

On the 17th (local time) the Council of the European Union added one Russian individual and five entities to its sanctions list. Under the measures, listed persons and entities will have assets frozen in the EU; EU individuals and institutions are prohibited from providing them funds or economic resources; and listed individuals face EU entry and transit bans.
