Shell (SHEL.N) has agreed to sell its wholly owned subsidiary BG Cyprus to MOL Group for up to $720 million.

Kioxia reported Q1 operating profit of ¥1.27 tln, below market expectations of ¥1.37 tln (prior-year Q1: ¥44.9 bln). Q1 net profit was ¥842.17 bln versus consensus ¥973.81 bln (prior-year: ¥18.28 bln). The company announced a 3-for-1 stock split and a share buyback plan.

Qiushi's Aug. 1 issue published an article by Xi Jinping urging acceleration of Healthy China construction, calling it a systemic project and directing authorities to prioritize initiatives with broad public impact. He instructed strengthening the public health system, deepening social co‑governance and integration of prevention and treatment, and bolstering infectious-disease prevention and control, surveillance and early warning, clinical care, emergency response, material supply and regulatory oversight. He called for building a high-quality, efficient medical service system, implementing a primary-care strengthening program, promoting integration of traditional Chinese and Western medicine, and expanding rehabilitation, nursing and palliative-care services. He also urged promoting healthy lifestyles and raising national health literacy.
