Omdia says global tablet shipments fell 10% YoY to 36.0 mln units in Q2 2026, the first recent Q2 to lose the usual QoQ boost from back-to-school demand. Omdia research manager Himani Mukka said constrained component supply makes vendors unlikely to broadly prioritise tablets; manufacturers are reallocating scarce parts to flagship and high-end models, shifting product mixes upward.
