Egyptian President Sisi met Jared Kushner in Alamein on the 16th and urged parties to implement the Gaza ceasefire and deliver on the outcomes of last October’s Sharm el‑Sheikh summit. The presidential office said they exchanged views on the Palestinian issue and broader Middle East developments and called for Egypt-US cooperation to resolve the regional crisis and preserve stability.

On Aug. 14 the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit ordered the district court to rehear DJI's challenge to its inclusion on the Pentagon's Chinese Military Company (CMC) list, a procedural victory for the company in a multi-year U.S. legal dispute. DJI was first placed on the CMC list in Oct. 2022. After appeals failed, DJI sued the Pentagon in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia in Oct. 2024; a district ruling in 2025 upheld the Pentagon and DJI subsequently appealed.
