FAO said urgent action is needed to restore safe access and provide farmer support or prospects for recovering local food production will continue to shrink. Basic agricultural imports and distribution are constrained; farmers face severe shortages of seed, fertilizer, irrigation equipment, fuel and other inputs, while livestock producers lack feed, veterinary supplies and animal-health services.
