Tajikistan has applied to import 2.55 mln tonnes of oil and petroleum products from Iran as traditional supplier Russia is also facing fuel shortages, the country’s transport ministry said on its website. The request covers 2.0 mln tonnes of crude, 150,000 tonnes of gasoline, 300,000 tonnes of diesel and 100,000 tonnes of jet fuel. The ministry did not specify delivery timing.

People familiar say SpaceX held acquisition talks with AI programming startup Cognition, exploring a potential deal that would be the company's second major purchase in months aimed at gaining an edge in the AI race. Talks are currently paused, but the firms continue to discuss cooperation, including potential arrangements for Cognition to use SpaceX's computing capacity. Cognition was valued at $26 bln in a May funding round and is in preliminary talks for a new raise with a valuation of at least $40 bln.
