The unit switched to backup diesel generators per procedure. Equipment is operating normally, safety systems did not fail, and on-site and perimeter radiation readings remain at natural background and within regulatory limits. Plant personnel are continuously monitoring parameters and have implemented all measures required to maintain unit safety.
