Amazon raised US retail prices for multiple hardware products last weekend, including Fire TV streaming devices, Echo smart speakers, Kindle e-readers and Eero routers. The low-end Echo Dot was repriced from $49.99 to $79.99, about a 60% increase. An Amazon spokesman said the consumer electronics industry is facing large increases in memory and storage component costs; after absorbing those cost rises as long as possible the company recently adjusted pricing across its product lines and will continue to run intermittent promotions over the next year.

Iran parliament speaker Ghalibaf said the US knows no one is buying its bluster and that the US economy no longer allows it to further restrict ties with other countries. He said Iran's trade partners, both via media and direct communications, have made clear they will ignore such statements.
