China energy and chemical sector slid as onshore main futures contracts fell
sharply intraday. Low-sulfur fuel oil (LU) main contract dropped over 8% to
4,691 yuan/ton; fuel oil main contract fell over 8% to 3,610 yuan/ton. Styrene
(EB) main contract fell 4.0% to 8,608 yuan/ton; PTA main contract fell 4.0% to
5,550 yuan/ton; methanol main contract fell 4.0% to 2,828 yuan/ton; benzene main
contract fell 4.0% to 7,471 yuan/ton.
