China energy and chemical sector slid as onshore main futures contracts fell sharply intraday. Low-sulfur fuel oil (LU) main contract dropped over 8% to 4,691 yuan/ton; fuel oil main contract fell over 8% to 3,610 yuan/ton. Styrene (EB) main contract fell 4.0% to 8,608 yuan/ton; PTA main contract fell 4.0% to 5,550 yuan/ton; methanol main contract fell 4.0% to 2,828 yuan/ton; benzene main contract fell 4.0% to 7,471 yuan/ton.

HSI closed down 0.02% and the Hang Seng Tech Index fell 0.12%; market turnover HKD 254.08 bln. Biotech led gains: 01952.HK and 00767.HK rose over 18%, 02268.HK +14%, 02126.HK +9%. Semiconductors advanced, with GigaDevice 03986.HK +~5% and 02676.HK and 00981.HK each up >1%. Auto stocks weakened after earnings: XPeng 09868.HK plunged 9.19% on an earnings miss; Leapmotor 09863.HK fell 5.71% post-results.
