China Securities Index (CSI) today launched a 40-index Commodity Futures Sector series, led by industrial and agricultural & livestock subindices. The indices are designed to track subsector futures price trends and returns, provide benchmarks for performance evaluation and attribution, and are intended to help steadily bolster China’s pricing power and international influence in global commodities markets.

Trump has submitted a milestone Saudi civil nuclear agreement to Congress for review but retains an 11th-hour requirement that Saudi Arabia normalize relations with Israel, a US government official said. The submission is likely to trigger months-long congressional debate over advancing the US nuclear industry while preventing WMD proliferation in the Middle East. China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology said it will drive reforms to build a market-based, rule-of-law, international business environment. The ministry will optimize industry governance—improving market access, fair competition and credit-management frameworks—advance telecom laws and regulations, tighten oversight of the platform economy and AI, orderly expand autonomous opening in the telecom sector, and deepen international ICT cooperation to promote broadly accepted digital governance rules and standards.
