On the morning of Aug. 26, the Yichun Municipal Ecology and Environment Bureau
said it has withdrawn the proposed-acceptance public notice for the
environmental impact report submitted by Yichun Shidai New Energy Mining Co. for
the Jianxiawo lithium mine in Yifeng County, Jiangxi. The bureau said members of
the public raised doubts about the developer’s earlier disclosure website during
the notice period; the notice will be reissued only after subsequent approval
meets requirements.
