Two departments: residential mortgage maturities capped at 40 years and loan amounts may not exceed the appraised value of the property to be purchased. Loans with terms ≤1 year may be repaid in a single lump-sum at maturity or by monthly principal and interest; loans >1 year must be repaid with monthly principal and interest.

The OCC and FDIC will on Thursday unveil rules refocusing enforcement on material financial risks, aiming to move away from checklist-style exams and concentrate on risks that could threaten bank survival. The OCC will for the first time publish its policy and procedures manual and will classify violations as substantive or technical, with non-substantive breaches to be handled outside the formal written-notice system.

ZELENSKIY said Russia, unable to escort merchant vessels and shadow fleets into certain ports, is considering arming civilian ships with light weapons, electronic warfare equipment and military personnel. He said Ukraine will prepare corresponding countermeasures to Russia's militarization of shipping.
