On Sept. 1 Dreame Technology said it has abandoned plans for mass production of vehicles and will fold auto-related operations into the company’s industry research institute, shifting the unit to focus on generic technology exploration and tech commercialization. Dreame said it will retain only technical reserves for the car project. MOVA, launched in 2024 as a global high-end AI smart‑life brand covering robot vacuums, floor washers, lawn mowers, personal-care appliances and planned consumer electronics, will not be fully shut. Dreame said home-cleaning lines with high overlap between MOVA and the Dreame core brand—particularly robot vacuums—will be consolidated to eliminate duplicate R&D and supply‑chain investment. Outdoor/yard robot assets that align with the group’s strategic businesses will be retained and moved into a unified outdoor/yard operations track.
