The Ministry of Civil Affairs, Central Social Work Department, Ministry of Finance, National Working Committee on Aging and China Aging Association will jointly organize the sixth nationwide sample survey of living conditions of urban and rural elderly. The survey is intended to provide baseline data to support implementation of China’s national strategy to actively respond to population aging and to refine related laws, regulations and policies. Topics include elderly demographics and household composition, health and medical conditions, caregiving and long-term care services, economic status, livability, social participation, rights protection and spiritual/cultural life. Data will be collected by interviewers conducting in-home, one-on-one interviews using a dedicated app.
