Japan's finance minister KATAYAMA said the total budget request for the next fiscal year is about 143 tln yen.

On Sept. 3 the State Council Work Safety Committee Office held a video meeting to advance inspection and rectification of so-called fake new-energy refueling stations. Local authorities were directed to follow Hubei’s model to leave no gaps and carry out deep, thorough verification of suspected sites. The office ordered strengthened whole-chain joint enforcement, clear assignment of enforcement responsibilities by violation type, unified enforcement standards, tightened discretionary rules and enhanced inter-agency case consultation, maintaining a high-pressure, punish-all approach with penalties proportional to offenses. It also mandated strict implementation of cross-department regulation of refined oil products, regularized sweeps of illegal refueling points (including fake new-energy sites), expanded sources and methods for tip-offs and inspections, and improved clue transfer, information-sharing and joint-handling mechanisms to bolster coordinated supervision, verification and enforcement and prevent rebound.
