On Sept. 10 the Private Enterprises Bureau of the China State Planner held a
roundtable with private firms and industry associations to collect investment
obstacles and promote private participation. The bureau presented 36 projects
focused on transport, logistics, water conservancy and energy, with total
planned investment of 61.4 bln yuan and proposed private capital of 15.6 bln
yuan. Projects cover rail, warehousing, wind power, energy storage, EV charging
infrastructure and water diversion; private investors may enter via wholly
owned, controlling or minority stakes in project companies. The initiative aims
to spur private investment into infrastructure and energy sectors.
