On Sept. 10 the Private Enterprises Bureau of the China State Planner held a roundtable with private firms and industry associations to collect investment obstacles and promote private participation. The bureau presented 36 projects focused on transport, logistics, water conservancy and energy, with total planned investment of 61.4 bln yuan and proposed private capital of 15.6 bln yuan. Projects cover rail, warehousing, wind power, energy storage, EV charging infrastructure and water diversion;

US August PPI printed 2.4% YoY versus 5.3% expected, while core PPI rose 0.2% MoM versus 0.3% expected, a mixed signal as Fed officials debate next week’s move. After the report, markets fully priced an October Fed rate hike. The PPI came a day before the latest CPI, which is expected to show relatively tame core inflation. Some Fed officials say the Sept. 15-16 decision could hinge on this week’s data. Fed chair KEVIN WARSH said last month the Fed 'has more work to do' if policymakers are not confident underlying inflation is improving. Ongoing US-Iran hostilities have pushed oil higher, complicating the outlook.

U.S. EIA crude inventories fell 391,000 barrels in the week to Sept. 4, versus an expected draw of 1.554 mln barrels and a prior draw of 4.45 mln barrels.
