U.S. Treasury yields rose in the Asian session, extending Thursday’s gains, with
all tenors at multi-year highs. Tradeweb data showed the 2-year yield at 4.596%
(highest since July 2024), the 10-year at 4.979% (highest since October 2023)
and the 30-year at 5.384% (highest since 2007). Danske Bank said the 10-year is
now only a few bps from the 5.00% level “due to U.S. Treasury buyback operations
falling short of expectations.”
